Sanlam Investments receives top honours at the 2023 Raging Bull Awards

Sanlam Investments is proud to announce that our SIM* Small Cap Fund, Amplify SCI* Wealth Protector Fund and the Absa Bond Fund received awards at the Raging Bull Awards ceremony, and are honoured to have been recognised at the prestigious industry event alongside our peers.

 

SIM* Small Cap Fund

The SIM* Small Cap Fund was named the ‘Best South African Equity Mid- and Small-Cap Fund’ in SA. The fund, managed by Vanessa Van Vuuren and her team, delivered consistent and strong fund performance over several years. This win marks the third Raging Bull Award for the Fund in the ‘Best South African Equity Mid- and Small-Cap Fund’ category. The SIM* Small Cap Fund is an aggressive, actively managed small- to mid-cap fund with holdings in Famous Brands, Sun International and HCI, among others.

 

Amplify SCI* Wealth Protector Fund

For the third year running, Amplify Investment Partners’ Amplify SCI* Wealth Protector Fund won the Raging Bull Award for the ‘Best South African Multi-Asset Equity Fund on a Risk-Adjusted Basis’. The fund, managed by Iain Power and his team at Truffle Asset Management, has been ranked number one in 2021, 2022 and 2023 relative to its peers in the ‘Multi-Asset Low Equity’ space. The Amplify SCI* Wealth Protector Fund was also awarded certificates for the ‘Best Multi-Asset Low Equity Fund on a Risk-Adjusted Basis’, while the Amplify SCI* Defensive Balanced Fund won a certificate in the ‘Multi-Asset Low Equity Fund’ category and the Amplify SCI* Absolute Fund was awarded a certificate in the ‘Multi-Asset Medium Equity Fund’ category.

 

Absa Bond Fund

Following the successful integration between Absa Investments and Sanlam Investments, we are delighted to announce that the Absa Bond Fund was named ‘Best South African Interest-Bearing Variable-Term Fund on a Risk-Adjusted Basis’. The fund, managed by James Turp has also won the award for the third time bringing its total Raging Bull wins to seven.

Our SIM* Enhanced Yield and SIM* Resources funds were also nominated for Raging Bull Awards this year.

The Raging Bull Awards recognises exceptional performance in South Africa’s collective investment schemes industry. These wins are a testament to Sanlam Investments’ depth of experience and talent.
