Melville du Plessis

Melville joined Sanlam Investments in 2011. As portfolio manager within the fixed interest team, his responsibilities include portfolio management, research, trading, valuations, investment process management and development, as well as product development and execution. He manages both institutional and retail portfolios totalling R50 billion.

After obtaining a B.Comm. (Honours) degree from the University of Stellenbosch, Melville joined Novare Investments as a consulting team member of hedge funds, multi-manager and pension funds and then as portfolio manager for multi-manager products. Melville is a certified Financial Risk Manager, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Natasha Narsingh

Natasha Narsingh

Natasha joined Sanlam Investments as a senior portfolio manager in 2007 and has been involved with the Absolute Return Funds and the SIM Managed Solution Funds. Since joining the Absolute Return team in 2009, Natasha now leads the Absolute Return efforts within Sanlam Investments. In addition to her responsibilities at Sanlam Investments, she also served as a member of the Investment Committee of Botswana Insurance Fund Management from 2007 to 2012.

Natasha started her career as an investment analyst at Greenwich Asset Management in 1998. She has served in many roles over the course of her asset management career, including resources analyst, head of resources/mining, and portfolio manager of resources, general equity, balanced, absolute return and multi-manager funds. She has 19 years of industry experience and has been managing multiple third party funds in both the institutional and retail fund space at SIM.

Natasha holds a B.Sc. (Chem) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). She completed her MBA degree in 1997 taking top honours in the Investments and Portfolio Management and Advanced Industrial Relations streams.

Kingsley Williams

Kingsley Williams

Kingsley was previously the CIO of Indexation at Old Mutual Customised Solutions. He boasts nearly 20 years in the industry, covering indexation, portfolio management, quantitative research, product development and information technology. He holds an MBA in Finance from Wits Business School, a BSc Honours degree in Computer Science as well as an undergraduate major in Mathematical Statistics.

Under Kingsley as CIO and Johann Hugo as head of Portfolio Management, the Satrix investment team offers unrivalled experience in index-tracking portfolio management, and currently manages assets in excess of R75 billion.

Arthur Kamp

Arthur Kamp

Arthur has been an investment economist at Sanlam since 2005, providing economics input on the domestic and global economy to the asset allocation team. Before Sanlam, Arthur worked as an economics consultant at Eskom from 1990 to 1995 and thereafter spent 10 years working as an economist at stock broking firm Simpson McKie, which was later bought by global investment bank HSBC.
