Consider the transformation of Mabopane, a residential township in the Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, once devoid of clean drinking water due to drought. Oasis Water brought not just hope but also employment opportunities to this vulnerable corner. Since our investment in Oasis Water, its workforce has grown to over 1,500 employees and its network of 77 retail outlets continues to expand – a testament to the concrete outcomes of our Investors’ Legacy Range.
Moreover, the collaboration between Sanlam Investments Private Equity and Absolute Pets has reached new heights since our initial investment in April 2021. Absolute Pets has grown and opened over 50 new stores, exceeding the initial goal of 30. This expansion not only bolstered Absolute Pets but also generated 165 new jobs, with a focus on providing employment to previously disadvantaged groups.

Extending the support of our Resilient Impact Fund to small-medium enterprises, the Devland social housing project in Soweto serves as a compelling illustration. Comprising 26 three-storey buildings and 870 rental apartments, this initiative directly addresses housing needs within an underserved rental market segment.
