Are 2030 and 2050 destinations, or merely milestones taking us to the next sustainability frontier?

Let's Talk.

The urgency and opportunities for ESG initiatives continue to grow, but increasing consumer awareness is often juxtaposed with a reluctance to follow through and purchase greener goods. If big businesses are ultimately responsible for reducing our carbon footprint, will there be enough pressure on them to see measurable change – change away from profit margins and towards sustainability? And as those changes risk discomfort from consumers who are used to more for less, will we be able to change our habits and work together for a more sustainable future?

The future of sustainability: Small steps or giant leaps?

In our third and final Critical Conversations virtual event for 2021 we will explore the big and small changes needed locally and globally to work towards a sustainable future. Who should be driving these initiatives – policy makers, consumers or large companies? Will the 45% of Fortune 500 companies that have published sustainability goals advance ahead of their peers, or will the costs required to make those changes keep them lagging behind?
